CareSync provides CareSync Family and is the data controller for the personal data described here. That means we decide how and why it is used.

What we collect and why

• Account details (name, email, sign-in details). Used to create and secure your account. Legal basis: our contract with you.
• Care information you enter (people you care for, medications, doses, appointments, notes, prescription photos). Used to provide the Service to your family. Legal basis: our contract with you and your explicit consent for health information.
• Family and invitation data (members, roles, invite links). Used to share care with the people you choose. Legal basis: our contract with you.
• Usage and device data (IP address, device and browser type, activity logs). Used for security, fraud prevention and improving the Service. Legal basis: our legitimate interests.
• Support messages. Used to help you. Legal basis: our legitimate interests.

Who we share it with

• Service providers who host our app and data, and who run AI processing for features you use.
• Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for sales, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
• Professional advisers, such as legal and accounting advisers.
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

We never sell your data. Care information is visible only to members of your family group.

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we use safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep data while your account is active. When you delete your account, or when we no longer need the data, it is deleted or anonymised, unless the law requires us to keep it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or move your data, object to how it is processed, and withdraw consent. You can also complain to your data protection authority. We respond within one month.

Security

We use appropriate safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls and per-family data separation.

Cookies

We use only essential storage needed to keep you signed in and remember your settings. We don't use advertising cookies.
